Study Tours | Monday 30 October

Where does my Study Tour leave from?
Meeting places and registration will be sent out with study tour joining instructions. If you signed up for a study tour but haven’t received your joining instructions, please contact the conference organisers at info@cyclingscotlandconference.org or on 0131 557 1288.

What should I bring?
Participants should bring clothing appropriate for the weather, and avoid wearing or carrying anything that could get caught in the bike such as loose bag straps or long jackets. Please bring your own helmet if you are taking part in the study tours. However, a limited supply of helmets will be available on the day.

Can I bring my own bike?

Yes, if you want to. Bikes should be road-worthy and compliant with the highway code. If you have requested to borrow a bike and now wish to bring your own, please let the conference organisers know at info@cyclingscotlandconference.org or on 0131 557 1288.

Can I borrow a bike?
Yes, you can request to borrow a bike in the registration form. If you have already registered without requesting a bike and now wish to borrow one, please contact the conference organisers at info@cyclingscotlandconference.org or on 0131 557 1288.

I’ve signed up for a study tour but now cannot attend
Please let the conference organisers know as soon as possible if you have booked a place on a study tour but now can’t attend so we can release your space to someone else, info@cyclingscotlandconference.org | 0131 557 1288.


Civic Reception | Monday 30 October

Do I need to book?
You were asked during conference registration if you wished to attend. If you have not booked and now wish to attend, please let the conference organisers know so we can add you to the attendee list, info@cyclingscotlandconference.org | 0131 557 1288.

What time does it start/end?
The Civic Reception takes place in the City Chambers, George Square. It will start at 18.00 and end at approximately 19.45. Drinks will be served and the event will feature the Bikeability Awards.

The venue has facilities such as lifts, induction loops, infra-red enhanced hearing system and staff who are trained to help. Should you require any assistance or have any questions, please see a member of staff or one of the conference organising team.

Getting to the venue
The Technology Innovation Centre is located in the centre of Glasgow on George Street, a short walk from George Square.

By Train & Subway
The venue is less than 10 minutes walk from Queen Street Station and around 15 minutes from Central Station.  For information about train times and service updates please visit the ScotRail website or call 0344 811 0344.    Buchanan Street Subway station is adjacent to Queen Street Station and therefore also easily accessible.

By Bus
Buchanan Bus Station is around 15 minutes walk from the venue.

By Bike
Bicycle parking is available at the TIC. Folding bicycles can be brought into the building and stored inside, please let a member of staff at the cloakroom know if you wish to do this.
